When I started to get into homeopathy over 30 years ago I purchased a home remedy kit from my homeopath. It cost $40 for 60 remedies. Now the same kit will cost over $150. I’ve found it difficult to get people into the study and application of remedies when the initial layout is so high for most families to do on not much more than a whim. Most people approach homeopathy saying “OK, I’ll give it a try” and they get one of those Borion remedies that says what its good for on the side of the bottle and then they get disapppointed when it doesn’t work, and then they leave homeopathy behind. Well, fact of the matter is that that remedy will only help that condition a percentage of time. Homeopathy can not be prescribed like a drug. There might be 10 remedies that are effective for a condition. You have to figure out which one it is for your own specific case and symptom picture. In my own practice sometimes I have a hard time finding just the right one, so I might try 2 or 3 to find the cure. People are not inclined to purchase 2 or 3 or 4 remedies trying to cure a condition, especially when they are $8 each! With a kit you will be more likely to find success, avoid toxic drugs and bring about a true cure and you will have the remedies exactly when you need them. Through practice you will be more likely to learn the necessary skills to select the correct remedy.

Start with the book “Everybodies Guide to Homeopathic Medicines” by Dana Ullman and “The Family Guide to Homeopathy” by Dr Andrew Locke. In time you will learn to use the remedies and save yourself a fortune at the doctors office. Look on www.amazon.com as you may be able to find a used copies. (Locke uses mostly 6c remedies, and you could do that too but all my experience is with 30c and I recommend a 30c kit for most people)

As time goes by I will also post little homeopathic cures I have come across over the years. Be sure to read my post “Treating Abscess in Animals”. The same protocol goes for any animal, including human, for any kind of abscess.

Now I will tell how to get your own kit at a most reasonable price.
Since I began I have gone on to purchase 600 remedies and I paid less than $600.
I have 300 remedies in 30c and the same 300 in 200c. I have also picked up numerous other remedies and potencies for about $1 each.

Bengal Allen is a homeopathic pharmacy in India. They produce and sell quality remedies at affordable prices. All the remedies I have purchased from them have worked as expected. Their minimum purchase allowed to ship to the US is about 30 remedies, that being about $30.

They sell 100, 200, and 300 remedy kits in many potencies and the more you spend the greater the discount on the price they give you. I think my initial big purchase came out to be something like about 80 cents for a multi dose bottle of remedy. One bottle of remedy can treat many cases.

You may have tried the Bengal Allan Site. It no longer functions. You can order remedies here from their US distributor. They are very prompt and did not take as long as when I previously ordered directly from India.

They do have an emergency remedy 50 remedy kit but what I listed below is what I suggest you ask them to put together for you as they will do special orders. (Today, 7-23-07 I have just made another purchase from them of 44 remedies, with $10 shipping my total is $54.) They will come in a nice sectioned box. Here you will have what any acute remedy kit has plus a few other commonly used remedies. I really like using 200c quite a bit and go to that first in many circumstances. That’s why I got the 30 and 200c kits, which are identical. Of course if you want to get their 100 remedy kit that would be great. The hundred remedy kit will provide most lay practitioners with a great supply of acute and chronic remedies. My order arrived safely about 2 weeks later and everything looked perfect.

You might consider getting their 100 remedy kit in 30c and the 50 remedies listed below in 200c. For $150 you will have lots of room to move around and try different things.

Other remdies I suggest to have on hand are calcarea sulf in 30c and 200c, ppyrogenum in 200c, influenzium 200c and arnica in 200c and 1m. I always end up giving arnica away so I order lots of extra. My kids carry it with them when they go skiing.
